Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Gates
AFC or Metro Gates are Speed Gates that are Flap/Swing Type pedestrian Gates. These types of pedestrian Gates are Half-man height with two cabinets forming an aisle in between for movement of people. These are bi-directional gates with panels either in glass, polycarbonate, soft foam material etc. forming the obstruction in the middle of the lane so-as-to allow access through these systems into a train station, Bus Rapid transit station etc. only after authentication of the ticket/token as may be the case. These blocking panels in the middle of the lane may either swing, slide, retract in an arc into the system for the open and close movement during pedestrian access.
Application
They are usually deployed at the entry and exit to Bus/Tram/Steamer/metro train stations for authorising of the passenger/traveller only.
Integration
They may be integrated with varied authorisation protocols viz. Proximity Card; Bar Code of Boarding Cards; Plastic Tokens with RF ID embedded chip, QR Code; Varied Bio-metric & Camera based authenticating devices etc. These gates have sophisticated controllers that are integrated with payment gateways and involve fare collection as part of every access. We at REVROY offer KIT-Sets that may be used to build cabinets to complete the barrier Gate system as per the requirements of the owners of the facility and the AFC solution providers. Alternately REVROY has the capability of building and putting together these gates in line with the requirements of the End User and AFC Solution providers by integrating the system with its own controllers and that of the solution provider and deliver as a complete system.
Drive System
They are offered with efficient and rugged motors for the opening and closing movement of the blocking panels located in the middle of the system.
